My Story

Jae Rashawn is the founder of Jae Stylez and Marilyn Cosmetics, proudly serving clients throughout Southwest Houston and the surrounding areas.

Jae discovered her passion for hairstyling at just nine years old. Growing up, she braided anything with hair, including dolls, family members, and even her neighbor’s dog. That early creativity eventually developed into a lifelong passion for natural hair care, protective styling, and helping women feel confident.

After high school, Jae attended Prairie View A&M University, where she studied Nutrition while completing 1,500 hours of professional cosmetology training. In 2016, she graduated from Prairie View A&M University and began her journey as a beauty entrepreneur and professional Houston hairstylist.

Today, Jae continues to perfect her craft while working toward her goal of becoming one of the top natural hair stylists in the industry. She specializes in creating healthy, beautiful, and long-lasting hairstyles designed to complement each client’s natural beauty.

Jae takes pride in remaining a student of her craft and looks forward to sharing her God-given gifts with new and returning clients for many years to come.
